In order to provide a safe and secure environment for our children, youth and vulnerable adults, we believe it is necessary to include the following questions as part of our application process. All information will be kept confidential by church leadership and the Plan to Protect® team. (Police may access this information, under warrant, if requested.) Release of Information and Declaration of Intent

I hereby give Plattsville Church permission to contact the persons named as references to ascertain my suitability for volunteer ministry. I release all such references from liability for any damage that may result from furnishing such evaluations to you.

I give Plattsville Church consent to verify the information provided herein and to contact the references listed. I waive any right to confidentiality and of any right to pursue damages against Plattsville Church for losses caused by the reference’s response.

I also grant my permission for Plattsville Church to perform a police records check, for purposes of my protection against any false allegations and for the protection of those I serve. I consent to such an investigation with the understanding that the results will be kept in strict confidence. I agree to adhere to the protection policies as adopted by this organization.

I understand that if my character or morals are deemed by Plattsville Church leadership to be inappropriate and/or criminal at any time during my volunteer service, Plattsville Church will be entitled to terminate my assistance without express cause or prior notice regardless of any other oral or written statement by Plattsville Church prior to, at, or following the date of volunteer service.

I understand that Plattsville Church is responsible for the welfare of any person or persons entrusted to my care. I will cooperate fully with the staff in the fulfillment of my duties and will keep all information I encounter, in my role as a volunteer, confidential. If at any time I find that for any reason I am unable to support the policies, procedures or doctrine of Plattsville Church, I will gracefully and quietly resign my volunteer position. If my supervisors find that I am in conflict with any of the policies, procedures or doctrines and we are not able to resolve the issue, I will gracefully and quietly agree to resign my volunteer position.

Plattsville Day Camp Volunteer

You have the potential to have an enormous impact on the lives of the Kids and families of Plattsville Day Camp. We are looking for all kinds of people and skills to be part of our team!

Skill leaders:
We are offering life skills to our campers. Do you have a skill that you could teach to a group of kids? woodworking, makeup, crafts, photography, dance, spot skills, etc? Talk to us about what skill you might be able to offer.

Leaders in Training:
We are taking applications for people between the age of 13 and 16 who want to gain experience in a Day Camp setting. We are looking for energetic and dedicated future leaders to join our team. Our commitment to you, is to help develop your leadership skills and give you opportunities to grow!

Registration/ Administration:
Are you wired for administration? We need people make sure our campers are registered and checkin in and out each day.

Communications/Media
Do you have the ability to clearly write and communicate? Maybe take photographs or make videos? Why not put these skills to use and promote Plattsville Day Camp?

Snacks:
The favourite time of any camp normally includes food! Why not join the team and be part of making sure our campers have the energy and health to make it through the day.

Adult supervision/One on One
At every camp there are always a few campers who need some extra special one on one time. Would you consider make sure that our campers get the attention and focus that they deserve?

Apply to be one of our VIP’s (Very Important People)! We need you to make sure that the amazing kids in the community of Plattsville have an incredible experience. Who knows what impact you will have on the life of a child? But you will only know if you make yourself available at try something!
